Antonio Grate is a Social and Emotional Strategist, Professional Speaker, Author, Minister, Husband, and father of four amazing boys.
Antonio has 7+ years experience in public speaking and mentoring. He has delivered engaging and informative talks at National and State Child Welfare Conferences, various child welfare agencies, universities, and schools nationwide.
He currently travels the country sharing his story of aging out of the foster care system, growing up in the ghetto of Chicago, his mother's addiction to drugs and not having his father in his life which has made him an expert in his field.
His willingness and strong desire to pour into the lives of those in the foster care system, title 1 school students, juvenile detention youth, and church youth groups, stem from his passion to serve this generation and the next. His sole mission to equip them with the tools needed to become academically successful and increase emotional stability while becoming the best version of themselves sets Antonio apart.

This book was created for foster, kinship, temporary and/or non-parental guardians of children recently removed from the guardianship of biological parents due to death, legal matters, abuse, or neglect.
As an author and professional speaker, Antonio shares a powerful message that inspires youth to have the courage to face challenges and persevere beyond the obstacles in their lives. Antonio provides practical strategies on how he achieved success despite a very tough upbringing in the inner city of Chicago.
